This publication’s design is inspired by the library’s domed reading room, reflecting the transition from Melbourne’s bustling streets to the dome’s serene atmosphere. A static noise pattern symbolises the shift from chaos to calm, while circular organic forms evoke its meditative quality. On the cover, the ‘noise’ fades as it nears the dome, a theme echoed throughout. Blue, representing calm and open spaces, serves as the primary colour, while orange adds dynamic contrast, capturing Melbourne’s vibrant energy.
